A magnificent entry of Rams at the Annual Plumbridge Ram Breeders Assocition Sale held at Plumbridge Livestock Sales returned a stunning trade with the previous record broken not once but twice on Saturday 30th October.

Top price of the day went to David Lennox Heatherhill Farms, Cookstown, with a stylish Ram Lamb (of £10k Nunnerie) selling to Brian, Thomas & John Paul Elmore from Omeath, Co Louth for £7500gns.

Next top call at £7000gns was from the Loughash Pen of John & Patrick Harkin this powerful ram lamb bred of £20k Loughash caught the eye of several breeders before being eventually knocked down in a two way split to Damian McSwiggan & Oliver Brannigan.

The Loughash Pen was in the money again when their second lamb bred of £50k Auldhouseburn sold for £3000gns to Seamus Cullinan, Draperstown

Also from the same pen was another top price on the day with a £24k Elmscleugh Ram Lamb selling for £2000gns to Donaghey Farms.

Top price for Charlie Harkin’s The Rock Flock came in the form of a lovely Craigdoo bred Ram Lamb and after spirited bidding was knocked down to Damian McSwiggan for £2000gns.

Also at £2000gns from the same pen was a £35k Auldhouseburn son selling to Mrs Johnston

Topping the Shealing trade was a stunning Ram from Seamus Conway, Cranagh. Out of a McSwiggan ewe and £14k Auldhouseburn Sire hammer was eventually knocked down for £2000gns to Mr Hegarty.

Next best in the Shearling section was Conway Bros, Plumbridge selling an Elmscleugh bred ram to A&A Devine Caludy for £1500gns.
