Lawrie & Symington held its annual sale of 4100 (-466) Blackface Ewe Lambs on Wednesday with lambs forward in good bloom. The best, strongest end of the lambs were flyers from start to finish with the smaller long keep lambs also sharper. The middle cut lambs were not much different on the year unless growthy with good skins. The lack of the Irish buyers made little impact as most of the lots consigned for that trade were not present. Without all those high prices, the sale still averaged a respectable £104.25 (+£2 on year)

Selling to a top of £255 for a pen of 5 from Baillie, Calla Farm, selling to Stewart, Bomakelloch.
